10 ways to recharge your tired mind
Feeling tired? A good night’s sleep will refresh you but if you’re feeling burnt out perhaps you need a little bit more. Here are 10 ways to recharge if you’re feeling mentally drained.

Go for a walk (or run)
A brisk walk around your block with or without your dog (if you don’t have one) will work wonders for your mind. Fresh air is a revitalizer. If you live close to a walking or hiking trail, well then, it’s all the more fun!

Do some yoga
Meditation, visualization and breathing exercises can help you let go of your tensions. Yoga elicits a relaxation response from the body giving your mind calm and ease. So allow yourself to escape to a stress-free place.

Practise the two-minute rule
Procrastination can weigh heavily on your mind. Small tasks can take your mind away from the big challenges you really need to focus on. So, if you have a task that takes less than two minutes, finish it straight away.

Schedule a spa night
Get into your bubble bath, light those scented candles, put on your favorite music and just sit in peace. Stay away from your phone for a while. Recharge your batteries. Drink a cup of beverage
Drinking means sipping your favorite cup of tea or coffee slowly, choosing to take some extra time out to relax. You’re not supposed to gulp your drink. No way.

Plan a week of easy nights
It’s always tempting to go drinking with your friends after a hard day at work but do keep some nights only for yourself where you make yourself dinner, watch your favorite show and then go to bed early. The additional rest that you give yourself will really help.

Take a break from the work desk
Taking that 5-minute interval between work to get your cup of coffee or tea or your glass of juice is important. Some fresh air in the middle of the day is always a good idea.

Journal
Before retiring for the night, be alone and write down some of your thoughts. This will help you relax and sleep better.

Do something fun
Doing something not work related usually takes your stress away. Why not pursue a hobby for an hour, go on a picnic with your friends or simply opt for a weekend staycation?

Read your favorite book
Deep dive into your favorite narrative. It transports you to a different world giving you the escape you need. It also gives you a break from constant screen time. No wonder, reading is our highly recommended pastime.
